FIFA World Rankings Update

Spain have soared to the top of the FIFA World Rankings following their Euro 2008 Victory over Germany, while Italy and Germany have both risen into second and third respectively.

Spain ended their 44-year trophy drought by winning Euro 2008 last month.
This Victory has seen them move up three places in the FIFA Rankings, and they now sit on top of the world.

Despite a rather disappointing Euros, Italy have moved up one place from third into second, while Germany, who finished runner-up in the recent finals, complete the top three.

It isn’t surprising to see that Brazil and Argentina, who struggled in their recent World Cup qualifiers, and have now moved down to fourth and sixth respectively, with Holland sandwiched in between the middle of them.

Croatia, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Euro flops France complete the top 10. England, who failed to qualify for Euro 2008, is down to fifteenth.
